The AstraZeneca fellowship’s base will be in Gaithersburg, MD, with a specific focus on applicants possessing familiarity with the advanced phases of clinical development within the realms of hematology or oncology.

During the fully-funded international fellowship opportunities offered in the USA, participants will be met with an industry scientist or a member of a clinical team to serve as their mentor.

Throughout this experience, you will have the chance to observe your mentor’s daily work routines, including participation in meetings with key stakeholders, project teams, and academic professionals.

• If you’re doing a doctoral degree now, you can’t apply.
• You should be in an oncology or hematology program at a US medical, research, or academic place.
• Citizenship isn’t required.
• If not a US citizen, your visa should cover the fellowship duration.
• You must be an AACR member.
• If not, apply for membership before the deadline.
• You shouldn’t be:
• Working for a US entity or subcontractor.
• Employed by a for-profit private company.
• A clinical fellow from a US government lab.
• For Johnson & Johnson grant:
• Be from underrepresented ethnic groups in health sciences.
• Have a disability.
• Be from a disadvantaged background.
